This week , we talked about Augmented Reality which is really interesting for me, and I saw the video, the tutor has started by giving the history of Augmented Reality which was invented in the early 90’s by researchers Thomas Caudell and David Mizell. The main use of Augmented Reality in the early 90’s was to describe how the head-mounted displays electricians used when they were assembling complicated wiring harnesses. It was mostly used in the research labs. Augmented Reality it functions using a device that captures visuals of the real world and it overturns live computer-generated objects into one image. The images can be inform of data, animations, text, data and sounds that are viewed through the screen by the user. One can use a phone or a tablet to view the objects. Augmented Reality technology is used to provide a digital layer of content in the physical environment and then it provides an illusion that there is something. When using Augmented Reality technology one needs to have a trigger image like a QR code which will give them the ability to track the real surface to get the digital content.

The tutors have also explained the development of Augmented Reality in future. Like it can have more intelligent input recognition like recognizing smell, voice, temperature and detecting gesture. This Augmented Reality technology can be developed and have more sophisticated output types like having a more complex 3D interactive models and scripts which are networked in different devices. Augmented Reality technology can also evolve and latter have input and output devices like contact lenses and haptic.

The following are the poster and brochure that I made when I finished studying canva hands-on learning activity! In the production process, I feel I have learned a lot of practical things. I believe I will use it in my future life and work.
